February 15【the day of Nirvana】

Today, February 15, is the day of Nirvana. ( the day Buddha died)
We, Buddhists, value the day of Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and Nirvana as anniversary of Buddha.

And in our temple, we are exhibiting “Nirvana painting” depicting the scene of Buddha death. It is an old and big drawing that is preserved in this temple for a long time. I ,myself, saw it for the first time. You can see many creatures mourning after Buddha gave his last sermon and entered Nirvana. If you have time, please come to our temple and see the real thing. Admission is free.
